Friday Recap (4/11)

This week was one spent in coffee shops, focussed on a new design forward venture, and inadvertently doing some deep dives in Illustrator. I've always been more of Photoshop person, but this series is best suited for Illustrator and it's been really fun learning new tricks and diving into the depths of the program and the designer community.

That said, it was a lot of time in front of a screen and my eyes feel bloated. The equivalent of a back to back to back nights out.

Other than designing, I spent a lot of time considering the place of art in a saturated society, and the business/gamification of it. This was a week of feeling how hard I've worked to get my prices to where they are, and I'm proud of the work that represents, but I also felt kind of burnt out and disillusioned by it. I do need to clear some space so maybe I'll do a spring cleaning on deep discount, so keep an eye out for that.

The new venture isn't ready for primetime, but here are a few things I worked on this week, including some designs I'm tempted to turn into prints.
